Preparation, repairs, priming and finishing belong to the same job, but not always the same price agreement. Make your quote and invoice reflect the agreed scope.

Describe the work in recognisable terms

“House painting” is vague if you only painted the front window frames. Identify the room or component, preparation and finish. Use square metres when that is your pricing basis, or a single item for a fixed fee.

If paint and small materials are included in the area price, say so. Do not charge for the same materials again as extra lines.

Schedule instalments on specific dates

For a larger job, record an instalment split in the quote and choose invoice dates around the agreed start and completion. If the job moves, check the invoice dates too: the system does not know your work schedule.

Does the software choose the VAT rate for my painting job?

No. Select the rate for each line based on the work and circumstances. The software calculates amounts but does not assess a property or assignment. Check the applicable rules before sending the quote.

I am a painter creating eight invoices a month. Which plan fits?

This plan allows 500 invoices and 500 quotes per billing period.
