How does the free trial work?
New accounts get 5 days free, without payment details. Add clients and products and prepare invoices and quotes. During the trial, one invoice can be downloaded without a watermark, including repeat downloads of that invoice. Other invoice PDFs have a large blue watermark. Downloading numbers the invoice and locks editing during the trial. Quote PDFs and sending require a paid plan. After expiry, your work stays available read-only and all downloads require a plan. No automatic trial charge. The guest PDF option remains separate.
Can I really walk away from my invoice plan any month?
Yes. Who doesn't hate it: you sign up for something, you no longer need it, and yet you're locked in for a year. We do too! So we don't lock you into anything: you pay per month and cancel whenever you like. After cancelling you keep access until the end of your paid period; that date is right there in your dashboard. After that your account becomes read-only: you can still view, download and export everything, just not create new invoices.
Do I need an account or a plan to create an invoice?
No. You can create an invoice without an account, preview it for free and download the PDF for €0.50. A plan is for those who invoice more often: saved clients and products, quotes and automatic reminders. Basis covers up to 7 invoices a month, Pro up to 500, and Business invoices without a limit.
What does it cost when my client pays online?
Every online payment costs €0.29, the same in every plan. No tiers, no surprises afterwards: your dashboard shows exactly how many payments came in this period. If you connect Mollie instead of MultiSafepay, Mollie withholds €0.15 per payment for us from your payout and we charge nothing else.
Why let my clients pay online with iDEAL or Bancontact?
Because a pay button in the invoice e-mail removes the hurdle: your client taps it, picks their bank and done. No mistyped IBAN, no 'I'll do it tonight'. Invoices with an iDEAL payment link are paid roughly three times faster on average, and about 40% of clients pay the same day. The button is in every invoice e-mail and every reminder you send.

Where does the money land and how fast am I paid out?
Straight into your own MultiSafepay or Mollie account. You connect it under Settings, Online payments, and every payment lands there. We never hold your money. How often it is paid out to your bank account is up to you there. A paid invoice is marked as paid automatically, and you only pay us €0.29 per successful payment, settled with your next monthly amount (through Mollie: €0.15 per payment, withheld by Mollie from your payout).
How many invoices and quotes can I create on Basis?
Basis covers up to 7 invoices and 7 quotes per billing period. Credit notes do not count towards it and stay unlimited. Reached the limit? Upgrading to Pro takes effect right away, so you can carry on immediately.
What happens to my invoices when I cancel?
They stay. After your paid period your account becomes read-only: you can still view and download everything, only creating new invoices is off. Under Settings you will find Export, which fetches your whole administration at once as a zip: invoices as PDF and e-invoice, quotes, clients and receipts. Your 7-year retention obligation stays your responsibility, but you do not have to keep paying us for it.
