These are the agreements between you as a partner and us. They apply from the moment we approve your application and you publish your link. We have kept them as short as the subject allows.
1. Who can join
The partner programme is meant for businesses: comparison sites, bookkeeping blogs, software directories and others who help entrepreneurs choose. You apply with a Chamber of Commerce number, because you will be invoicing us, and you do that as a business.
We review every application by hand. We may decline one without explaining further, for instance because the site does not suit us or because we would rather not see our offer there.
2. When a customer is yours
Someone who clicks your link gets a cookie that lasts 60 days. That visitor counts as yours if they create an account within those 60 days, or start their first subscription within those 60 days having never had one before.
A few rules that go with that:
- One customer belongs to one partner. The last link clicked is the one that counts. If someone clicks your link and then a friend’s invitation, the invitation counts.
- Existing customers do not count. Anyone who already has or has had a subscription cannot be referred again.
- You cannot refer yourself. An account on your own login never counts.
- Your application must be approved. Clicks on your link before we approve you do not count.
3. What you earn
You earn a fixed fee per referred customer, depending on the plan they take. The amounts are on the partner programme page and in your dashboard, and are exclusive of VAT.
You earn that fee once the customer has paid for a number of months. How many is stated on the partner programme page and in your dashboard, as are the amounts themselves. Not settling on the first payment is deliberate: it means we both know this is a customer who stays, and we never have to reclaim a fee because someone left after a month.
A few things follow from that:
- The plan at the time of that last payment sets the amount. If the customer later moves to a more expensive plan, the fee does not change.
- You earn the fee once per customer. There is no recurring share of later months.
- If the customer does not pay, or uses a free month, there is no payment that month and so it does not count towards that number.
- If an account is given free access by us, it pays nothing and therefore earns nothing.
- If a payment is refunded or charged back, the fee lapses, as long as we have not released it yet.
- If the customer cancels before the fee is released, it lapses too. Once it is on a statement we pay it out, whatever the customer does afterwards.
We may agree a different rate with you. We record that separately; it applies only to customers you refer afterwards.
4. Payment: we draw up the invoice
At the start of each month we settle everything you have earned that was earned at least 30 days ago. Below 50 euro the balance rolls into the next month.
We draw up that invoice on your behalf. This is self-billing (article 35(3) of the Dutch VAT Act) and by accepting these terms you agree to it. So you never send us an invoice; it is waiting in your dashboard, with a number from our own uninterrupted series, your details as the supplier and the VAT on it.
If we hear nothing from you within 14 days, the invoice counts as accepted by you. If something is wrong, tell us within that period and we will issue a correction.
We pay within 30 days into the account in your profile. For that we need your Chamber of Commerce number, your VAT number and your IBAN: without them we cannot draw up a valid invoice and the balance rolls over.
The partner programme is meant for businesses established in the Netherlands. If you are based elsewhere, get in touch and we will arrange it separately.
5. What we expect from you
- Describe the service and its price honestly. Prices and terms on your site must match what factuurmaken.nl says.
- Do not present yourself as us. No advertising on our brand name, no domain names containing factuurmaken, no e-mails that look as though they come from us.
- No unsolicited e-mail, no coupon sites, no paid traffic unless we agreed to it.
- Use our logo as supplied in your dashboard, without altering it.
If you do not keep to this we can end your participation. Fees you had already earned at that point are paid out as normal; fees arising from such traffic are not.
6. What you see, and what you do not
Your dashboard shows the date, plan, status and what you earn for each referred customer. It shows no name, e-mail address or company name. Who invoices with us is not something we pass on, not even to the party who referred them.
The click count in your dashboard is indicative. Search engines, link checkers and apps that unfurl a link all count, and changing your campaign label counts a returning visitor again. What we settle on are payments, and those are exact.
7. Ending and changing
You may stop at any time; remove your links if you do. We may also stop, with a month’s notice. In both cases we pay out what you have earned.
We may adjust the rates and these terms. We announce that at least 30 days in advance, and a change applies only to customers you refer afterwards.
8. For the rest
Dutch law applies to these agreements. Where these terms are silent, our terms and conditions apply. How we handle personal data is set out in the privacy statement.
