For plumbers

Plumber invoicing: call-outs, parts and installation

Fixing the leak comes first. Afterwards, the customer needs to understand the work, replacement parts and charges agreed before the visit.

Make even a short repair visit clear

Describe the visit date, work address and repair. For landlords and property managers, the work address may differ from the billing address. Include any order number in the description.

Agree call-out fees, minimum labour charges and surcharges beforehand. The invoice should reflect that agreement.

Example: replacing a leaking sink trap

Invoice lineQuantityExplanation
Call-out to the agreed address1 visitAgreed call-out fee

Replacement trap and fittings1 setParts used

Use a separate line for an agreed evening surcharge where applicable. factuurmaken adds the amounts; it does not set emergency rates or record an engineer’s arrival.

Follow a repair with an installation quote

If a larger replacement is needed, quote its parts and work first. An accepted quote without instalments can be converted to an invoice. For a larger installation, agree an instalment split in advance.

Can I automatically schedule maintenance visits?

factuurmaken is not a maintenance planner. A suitable subscription can create recurring invoices for a fixed maintenance agreement. Keep visit scheduling and installation service history elsewhere.

I am a plumber creating eighteen invoices a month. Which plan fits?

For 18 invoices and 4 quotes a month, Pro is the lowest-priced subscription that fits this example: €9.00 per month excl. VAT.

This plan allows 500 invoices and 500 quotes per billing period.

Limits count invoices and quotes created during your subscription’s billing period, including drafts. Deposits and other instalment invoices count separately. Compare features too if you need additional colleagues or multiple businesses.

Only need individual PDFs without a dashboard? Pay €0.50 per invoice incl. VAT without a subscription. The recommendation above compares subscriptions.
