Which invoicing tool works with Mollie?

Mollie is the best-known payment provider for web shops in the Netherlands. Anyone who already has an account naturally wants their invoices paid through Mollie too: one payout, one dashboard, one VAT overview of the payment costs. Factuurmaken connects to your own Mollie account, and this is how that works.

How to connect Mollie

1. In factuurmaken, go to the payment settings and choose Mollie.
2. You are sent to Mollie, log in there and grant factuurmaken permission to create payments on your account. Factuurmaken never gets your password and cannot move money; it can only create payment requests.
3. Back in factuurmaken you pick the Mollie profile you want to use. Done.

What your client sees

Every invoice e-mail and every reminder carries a ‘Pay with iDEAL’ button. It opens Mollie’s payment page, where your client pays with iDEAL or Bancontact. As soon as Mollie reports the payment, the invoice marks itself paid and no further reminder goes out.

What it costs

Two parties charge something, and it helps to see them apart:

• Mollie charges its own rate per transaction, according to your Mollie account’s rates.
• Factuurmaken charges €0.15 per payment. Mollie withholds that amount from your payout and passes it to factuurmaken, so you get no separate invoice for it. On a very small invoice, where the amount does not fit within what Mollie allows, the fee is dropped and the payment simply goes through.

There is no monthly payment fee on top of your plan when you work through Mollie.

When MultiSafepay is easier

If you have no payment account yet and only want invoices paid, your own Mollie account is sometimes more than you need. Factuurmaken can then open a MultiSafepay account for you: you fill in your details and IBAN once and pay €0.29 per successful payment, without your own dashboard or a separate sign-up. Several businesses

If you run more than one administration in factuurmaken, you connect a Mollie profile or MultiSafepay account per business, because each legal entity is paid out separately. Businesses of one legal entity can share an account.
